INTJ FTW! And Rant of Doom

In other words Introvered Intuitive Thinking Judging personalities rock. For Starters we are the Mastermind Role Variant. People that makes me like Hannibal(both of them really), Stephan Hawkings, Niels Bohr, Peter I of Russia, Ulysses S. Grant, Batman, and Gandalf to name a few. How cool is that?

I think my Nano will have all of the Myers-Briggs personalities in it just cuz.

I really want to rant about Wal-Mart but right now I just don't think I can. They are just to scary, and my whole town loves them. So for now I give you this. Don't you love Wal-Mart?

Anyway on to BSL related issues. People are idiots. With out further adu I present the story of Congo.

For those who don't want to read all that:
1. two illegal immigrants were gardening at the family's house
2. they arrived an hour early
3. they were told by the husband to stay in their truck until he
could get out of the shower and get some clothes on
4. the husband speaks Spanish and spoke to them in Spanish so there
is no question they understand what they were told to do
5. they directly disobeyed the husband and walked into the backyard
with the wife, who had just pulled into the driveway)
6. the two adult gsd's and their puppies came running
7. the gardeners paniced
8. ONE GARDENER GRABBED THE WIFE AND WRESTLED HER TO THE GROUND,
USING HER AS A PROTECTIVE SHIELD
9. Congo thought his owner was being attacked and went after the
gardener
10. The gardener used his rake to beat at the puppies and inflicted
some injuries on them.
11. the gardener changed his story three times (interesting note on
official bias: when the owner said the gardener changed his story
five times, the dog warden said "No, he only changed his story 3
times.")

Congo was declared vicious. However the laws states:
4:19-22. Finding to declare dog vicious; grounds

a. The municipal court shall declare the dog vicious if it finds by clear and convincing evidence that the dog:

(1) killed a person or caused serious bodily injury as defined in N.J.S. 2C:11-1(b) to a person; or

(2) has engaged in dog fighting activities as described in R.S. 4:22-24 and R.S. 4:22-26.

b. A dog shall not be declared vicious for inflicting death or serious bodily injury as defined in N.J.S. 2C:11-1(b) upon a person if the dog was provoked. The municipality shall bear the burden of proof to demonstrate that the dog was not provoked.

Luckly Congo is home now. However he may not stay there. From what I understand he is waiting an appeal. I think he will live and if he doesn't I will consider plans for starting my own mini-island where things like that won't happen and people are to blame for their actions(weird hu?).

This makes me wonder what is going to happen to GSDs law wise though. I have two who wouldn't hurt a fly unless that fly needed to be hurt. The older one in particular reminds me of Congo. Heck I would like to think most GSDs are like Congo, perfectly safe unless they are provoked or need to protect someone they love. Hey, I think most of the dogs on earth are like that. I hope people understand that the dog was doing what he was bred to do. I also hope that people don't make more BSL.

Also people when you are going to agrue for BSL have a bloody reasource at least. And no the news and word of mouth doesn't count. Internet sure because thats where I learn. Word of mouth no.

Some Time Later

I'm 16,466 words behind where I should be and don't think I will be making it to 50k but I'm totally okay with that. Why you ask, I wanted to get 50k so baddly, what made me change my mind? Well its because I learned a lot this year:

1. The Sophmore slump is a myth. It in fact is the junior slump.
2. Despite what you are taught in math class 500 is not equal to 1,667.
3. It is however equal to about 1 page front and back of a piece of paper.
4. When the going gets tough add a wombat.
5. When the going is still tough work on your random idea of the day.
5. B. The random idea will turn into a great JanNo.
6. Outlining is for the weak.
7. 500 is less than 1,667 and 200 is less than 500.
8. Don't throw crap at an armed man.
8B. Don't stand next to a guy who throws crap at an armed man.
9. Storries around the camp fire get you at least 1k worth of words per night.
10. The interblog is evilz.
11. LolCat is a good way to sum up your story
12. So is a fifteen minute summary.
13. My desk is messy.
14. MS Word's summary button is used solely as a way to get a good laugh.
15. If you have a long weekend don't put off your words till then because you will get lots of homework and procrastinate three days away.

For all who are wondering writting isn't going to bad any more. It was really bad last week though. I almost switched storries. I ended up skipping a good deal of the anti-action parts of my story but I'm okay with that. It's beter that way.

I've been doing a little research and for all who where wondering they did have socks in the middle ages, they did not have chocolate or any real candy though. Oh and you probably wouldn't marry your adopted brother who you grew up with.

I'm almost done with my half on Karra. which is cool because she's getting old. Keila here I come!

I Hate My Story

Well not really but that doesn't mean that I can't act like I do. Honestly though Karra is getting very very anoying. She won't stop crying. I mean sure her village burned down but who cares. STOP CRYING AND GET OVER IT. Then again it is great for the word count.

The Hikau thread started up. I wrote a little peom for it. Kind of scary considering I can't write poems and hate to do so. RPGs are going strong too. I love RPGs both of the role playing kind and the rocket kind.

Currently I have 3323 words. Thats half of what I should have. Maybe I can write my Am. Lit. & Comp. Paper real fast like and finish writting my story in that class. I really wish I could get some EC in my english classes for writing all of this.

In other non-nano related news I got Lego StarWars II. Its full of win. Very full of win. I like to play as Han Solo or Lando. Chewy's cool too though. Luke is gay though, so is his sister, Gaya as I call her. I'm going to beat it 100% hopefully.

I remember talking about the script for Harvey not to long ago. I finished it quick enough and just forgot to type my response. *now types to the Willam Tell Overature* Its good but if you have seen the movie there is no real reason to buy it. Its 99% the same, only real differnce is the scene at Charlies doesn't exist and Kelly and the Doctor (oh the one with the S name) are a bit more amusing in their love affair.

Now I have nothing to add. Off to find "The Ride of the Vayleries" or however thats spelled.

And Go!

One day in... and I'm behind. Sure that means I shouldn't be typing on here but who cares? I'm working on getting my fingers warm because they are FREEZING! Bloody freezying I tell you. So far it hasn't been bad. Of course I'm only 1.5k into it. Currently I am rambling on and on about Lurchers, yes that right, more dogs. I have solved the Akita problem though, Tora and Kuma are their names, I'm not lazy to just pick one. Oh they are brothers too, their names mean Tiger and Bear in Japanese, I'm all for keeping them in Japanese too.

Well off to write a bit more.

Dares, Dares, Dares

Gotta love 'em. I've got my list going again and I've already got 3 pages.

Only 3 days left! SQUEE! I've got so much to do still though. Got to love last minute outlines and changes that have to be made. Sure I said I had an outline but I've almost scrapped that and have just been rereworking it to fit. I mean I didn't intend to have Keila or the mystical doggie sweater o' death(or something like that).

So on the subject of doggie sweaters I think my wonderful little Nix shall wear an argyle pattern like this. I'm horible but its funny. Also I think the artical that shall turn him into a man again for a little while shall be a collar. I think Nix shall become my favorite character ever.

Kuma is not coming along half (or even a quarter) as well as Nix though. Currently he's an Akita Inu like dog. I'm leaning towards the tri color but the fawn brindle is also striking.

The other two dogs Ivy and Rouge are done. Ivy is a wolf dog and Rouge is a lurcher.

And Then the World Just Up and Died

Twice. Thats not right, the interwebs just can't die like that on me. Kind of sucks when all I wanted to do was post some stacked dog pics. No not pyriamid stacked I mean show stacked.

Who came up with the phrase Up and died anyway? Its funny.

My nano has started to scary me. The talking Pug is what did it. Normally that wouldn't be do bad I've had a dog be the only comunications between humans and aliens and had the rest of the universe love opera talking dogs are just one more step towards insanity that I'm willing to take. I took one to many dares. Oh well, it will be fun. Plus I don't think he will stay a Pug. He might just switch breeds or maybe a Chinese Crested will work.

Ah well, best get back to work.

Well He's a Pooka Of Course!

Harvey is possibly the best movie I have seen in a while. Go rent it now. I would say go buy the script but I haven't read that yet. I'll give my two cents on it later once I get my hands on it and read it. I'm currenty waiting for Christmas to get "Arsinc and Old Lace" "Dr. Strangelove" "A Philadephia Story" and "His Girl Friday". Silly little local video place doesn't have them...

1984 is a good book if your looking for something worth reading but Animal Farm gets my vote for lighter reading. At least if you think that lighter reading is just measured by pages. Of course next week this might just end up being replaced by me shouting about how awesome Harvey is. I love that movie.

While on the topic of awesome, Claudia Black(she's funny) and Ben Browder(He's very funny) need to be in more tv shows together. Harison Ford use to be awesome mostly has Han Solo but I have to say he's horid in Firewall. So horid I didn't know it was the same guy. Finishing up the actor section of awesome Han Solo= awesome Firewall= Painfull to watch (the exeption to this is if you have a friend [or parent] who knows a lot about computers and likes MST3K). Yes I did just watch Star Wars. Yes I am watching Stargate SG-1. No I have not seen Farscape lately.

I really should be working on my outline but I've done so much paper writing in the past two weeks it's kind of nice not working on outlines. I think by Monday I should have some stuff scribled down so I can make a cohernt last half of my novel. I am also very tired of running spell check. Live with it.

Getting Rid of the Problem

I have finnally found a bit of BSL I like: Muzzling Politicians. Its a win/win situation if you ask me. Pro-BSL people get their legisation and Anti-BSL people get to let their wonderful puppies be free. This is all thanks to a wonderful artical by a Mr. John Woestendiek. Of course BSL isn't limited to just pitties so our BSL shouldn't be limited to just Politicians, stupid new reporters *cough* Nancy Grace *cough*... If only.

The Nano board are sooooooo slow today, i've only just logged in now. I've been trying all day and got a lot of site is down errors and it took a good 10 minutes for me to log in just now. Hopefully tommorrow they will be beter. I want to try to be helpful again.

I really am exited about my story. I've had time to think things through and won't be starting late this year unlike in '06. The first half is about Karra and several other people from a village. They are all of a gypsy like race that is not looked upon very favorably. 99% of them have settled into little villages (no more carts) and a few even live in citties and trade. One day a swift attack is made on these people by the ruling government and most of the population is killed. The survivers must find a place to go where they will be able to live in peace all while they are being hunted. The second half is about a young girl who leaves her village for a few years and meets natives of a new land whom she kind of grows up with. Its not as fully developed but I really like the idea. I'm curretnly fleshing it out in my outline. I love this idea to bits, I really don't want to start not liking it in late November like I know I will.

Ummm, yeah, yay November!

I know I said I was going to have a place to post my story but I don't feel like it. After reading a few posts about people reading blog storries and seeing an overwhelming response to the "no" side, I figure its not worth the trouble. I know I wouldn't read one.

Huza

School sucks yay! Moving on because I do not wish to post a rant... again.

Nano boards are open again. I've been helpfull this year too. Its amazing, if you look over the fact it was about dogs.

So far I've only been attacked by 2 plot bunnies and only one is sticking. Its to late in the game to add another plot twist like the one I though up.

I have begun my quest at finding dares that work. Chalk one up for the Telitubies fight!

Frederic's Out of His Indentures!

No real reason for the title other than I'm listening to "Pour O Pour the Pirate Sherry".

Just a note about my last rant just a couple little APBT facts:
  • Stubby, the first American War Dog, was a Pit Bull
  • APBT are one of the most stable people-friendly dogs in existence, they pasted a test put on by the National Canine Temperament Testing Association with a 95% rating.
These are my two favorite facts but a lot more info can be found on the web if you look. My favorite site is this one.

Now lets talk opera! Mikado=Awsome. Just search it on YouTube and you should get a few video's. There is a playlist of the whole play. I don't much care for some of the remakes of the songs the full YouTube version did but it still manages to be good. Pooh-Bah is played by Jon English, who is just awsome and the guy who plays Ko-Ko (while he overacts at time) is funny and his hair rocks!

Nano talk, I have an extra story that can be written and go perfectly along with my original should it fail to meet the 50k goal. I have the generall idea and it must be outlined...next week.

My "new" dog, Duke, is learning retreiving. Its going slow, he just now seems to understand the "out" command and doesn't really seem to understand "get it" or "hold it" until after a bit of a tug game. I am trying a somewhat differnt aproach that what I've heard about, but it seems to work beter for him.
His heeling is wonderful and I plan on working on his "stays" within the week. I have also been introducing him to agility things. Very very slowly mind you and he only works on 3 obsticals tops for five minutes. He really won't go near the see-saw but I can't say I blame him and I am plenty happy with him just knowing how to do jumps, the tire jump, and my very low A-Frame.

Who's the Bully?

Thanks to this icon I sall rant about BSL today.

I am sick and tired all all the media hype and morons who vote for BSL. They claim to be looking after people, getting rid of dangerous dogs, and all their other "wonderful" crap. Some say they love dogs but they don't know the first thing when it comes to breeds. To be a dog lover you have to respect ALL breeds, you don't have to like them but you have to have the respect.

Frist off, I have to say I do not know many people who know what a Pit Bull is. Do you know? Try it out. If you got that right on your first try good job, you pass the first test, you either know what they look like or are a really good guesser. But staying on subject, a "pit bull" is not a breed, it is often used to talk about American Pit Bull Terriers in the dog world because American Pit Bull Terrier is a mouth full but a dog breed simply called a Pit Bull does not exist. The media uses "pit bull" as a way to talk about Bull and Terrier dogs such as APBT, American Stafordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, and Bull Terriers. Or as of late any dog that looks like a Pittie, be it Boxer, Rottie, an American Bulldog, a Mix of some of the breeds, a brindle dog, a rosey nosed dog, a dog with teeth, a dog that looks like it could bite, a dog with cropped ears, and all sorts of nonsense.

The media hype leads to my next issue. You can ban just APBT but they are not going to be the only dog who faces the laws. Like I just said, I have not met a non-dog-person who can tell the difference between some of the less common breeds and a Pittie. Plus BSL never affects just one breed, look at this list for proof. 75 breeds people, thats 75 to many.

Stupid people like to own APBT because they are "cool". Why are they cool, not because of their personality, but because of their build and their image. People buy this breed with out knowing anything about them. Here's a few questons to see if you know anything about the breed:
  • How much to they weigh?
  • Do they make good gaurd dogs?
  • That locking jaw, does it exist?
  • Their bite presure is super strong right?
Well what did you say? These are the biggest problems I have with people who "know" the breed.
  • Easily 60lbs or less. No well bred pittie is going to be a hippo headed 130lb monster
  • The breed standard says they are bad guard dogs. These dogs love everyone.
  • No dog has a locking jaw. Their jaws are built any differnt from a normal dog's and they are a dog, not a baby killing monster.
  • GSDs seem to have more bite presure but there is no way of knowing for certain
For who ever brings up the packs of pit bulls who run around and eat babbies that is NOT breed typical. Often the dogs that do this are from poor lines and poor homes. People make dogs what they are, no dog is born a monster.

I know this is a big mess, but BSL really gets my goat and that icon (which is wonderful and I had to yoink off Chaz) gave me a reason to rant. People please learn a thing or two about dogs before you ban the breed. Punish the deed not the breed. Oh and don't think this is last of this kind of rant.

PS yesterday's post will not be contiued like I thought. And that's Jon English singing Duty Duty, I couldn't find Rex Smith and Mr. English is good.

This Very Night

Several things are going on.
  1. NanoWrimo board finally died. It will be a lonely five days but I'll live, I don't really have any outlining or reasearching to do yet.
  2. New House, Joy!
  3. After more than 12 hours I still know the first 11 lines of "For He is an English Man". Mind you I have not heard this song in weeks, I do not want to remember them, and its has a catchy tune that has to be hummed. Everyone in my family has at least a mild dislike of this song by now.
  4. I want to watch The Pirates of Penzance again for the Eigh millionth time. Tony Azito rocks, Rex Smith has fluffy hair, and Kevin Kline is just awesome. The silly dancing police men have grown on me too.

For my own enjoyment I shall link all my favorite videos here! JOY!
More tommorrow

For some ridiculous reason...

... to which, however, I’ve no desire to be disloyal, my wonderful Nano outline that was filled with plot twists, characters, and words, decided that it was not going to do as I comand. It was a stupid story any way, it will however make a wonderful stageplay. ^^

Luckly I have another story just waiting to be writing. It does not have singng Pirates, ninja teams, or zombies though. Its more normal but it is outlined and I really like the idea. Hopefully none of this will happen again because I really don't think I have any ideas I feel like outlining. Three is more than enough, plus the other two idea's are dependent on this story...

In Preperation for Nano

It's September, the outlines have begun, the characters born, the plots almost make sense, only only 41 days until none of this work matters! I might manage to keep a blog this year, in fact since everthing has been going beter than wonderfull I have no doubt I will be on here far to often.

Everyone watch the truck driving song!

Anyway, just thought I should post a little nothing before I head off to sleep. I'll do a (almost) formall intro tommorrow.
